For the first time, Elira realizes that the real danger may not be dying, but crossing a line you never come back from.

Kya and Drayen have no alternative: to find Néry, they must infiltrate Sindalah, the island prison — a forbidden territory where Project Murmur is being tested on hundreds of human subjects. It is a mission with no way back, into the heart of a place ruled by Professor Narvaal, whose experiments have long since crossed every moral boundary. In Neom, Amira walks a treacherous path: holding on to her convictions without crossing the red line that would place her in danger. At the same time, Syrae delves into the secrets of Obsidian Frame, an organization led by the elusive Banshee. And in the upper reaches of power, Voss’s authority begins to falter. Ambitions sharpen. Loyalties unravel. In the shadows, General Merkin moves his pieces into place, willing to do whatever it takes to seize power. In a world beginning to fracture, nothing will escape the Invisible Hand — that silent force which guides actions, bends wills… and steals away even the very idea of freedom.
